Culdrose Air Day 2015 Poster

The success of my Visit Helston poster prompted the PR Officer for RNAS Culdrose to get in touch and ask if I would produce the poster for Air Day 2015. This is the last year that the 771 Squadron Seaking helicopters will be seen at Culdrose and it seemed fitting that this much loved aircraft should take centre stage on this years poster. Following a press embargo until after the General Election, I can finally place the finished poster on my website and I'm extremely proud to do so.

My thanks must go to the people at RNAS Culdrose for allowing me to combine my love of aircraft with my love of the poster.

A new print available to buy from Peter Poland

An Illustrated poster of a Search and Rescue Helicopter of 771 Royal Naval Air Squadron above a stylised beach scene based on British Railways posters of the golden age of steam travel.

I am a little sad that the SAR helicopters are leaving RNAS Culdrose and wanted to commemorate their relationship with Helston in my own way. For all the time I've been there they've been there. with their distinct sound and vibrant red. Saving lives on perilous seas and waving to beach goers as they fly by.

Best of luck to the new SAR helicopters in Newquay. 771 will be sadly missed!
